Restaurateurs Sans Frontières
Since 1981
Bangkok's leading fine art conservation and restoration lab
Protecting and restoring works of art for collectors, galleries, and institutions across Southeast Asia.
Restaurateurs
sans frontières
Founded by Master Restorer Robert Bougrain-Dubourg, RSF has been caring for works of art for over 25 years. Based at the Jim Thompson Foundation in Bangkok, our team of specialist restorers works across paintings, works on paper, sculpture, and objects, combining French conservation tradition with deep knowledge of the Southeast Asian climate and its effects on art.
We work with private collectors, galleries, and fine art logistics companies who need expert hands and absolute discretion.

The Scientific Laboratory
Diagnosis before intervention
RSF operates a dedicated conservation laboratory and photo studio at the Jim Thompson Foundation, Bangkok. Equipped with UV fluorescence and infrared imaging, our lab allows restorers to examine works in depth before treatment begins — revealing hidden damage, prior restorations, and underlying structure invisible to the naked eye.
Professional documentation is produced at every stage, giving collectors and institutions a complete scientific record of their work.
